Craig Bellamy has joined Liverpool once again

Vice-captain Jamie Carragher believes Liverpool's Craig Bellamy second stage with the Reds might be better than the first because it has unfinished business at the club he supported as a boy.
The 32-year-old signed a two-year contract yesterday to have reached an agreement on the last 12 months of his contract with Manchester City, where he had become an outcast from Roberto Mancini.

Return to the Merseysiders four years after leaving after just one season Rafael Benitez in which he scored nine goals.
"It's a great signing. As a kid always said it was a Liverpool fan," said Carragher.
"I was rather disappointed with the way it ended the way it left.
"I would have liked to have done much better and I hope this gives you a chance.
"For the past years at Manchester City has been excellent, not only as a striker, but as a wide player.
"The team we've probably only as a player Stewart Downing and bred wide.
"I think Craig prefers to play as a striker, but could not do the job for us."

Arsenal bid to land Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff on loan was rejected

Arsenal failed in a late attempt to sign midfielder Yoann Gourcuff after the French club Lyon revealed that rejected an offer of loan from the Gunners.
Arsene Wenger finally managed to recruit Yossi Benayoun and Mikel Arteta in the deadline, but only after he was beaten again in their effort to land the former AC Milan star.
The 25-year-old has four years to run on his contract with Lyon after joining rivals Bordeaux last summer.
